In 1991 graduated with honors from the First Tashkent Medical Institute, specializing as a dentist. In 1993, he completed clinical residency in the specialty of surgeon-dentist. In 1998 passed specialization of maxillofacial surgeon.

He works as an associate professor in the department of pediatric maxillofacial surgery of the Tashkent State Dental Institute and as a leading maxillofacial surgeon in the private clinic Hippocrates.

He has been engaged in scientific and pedagogical activity since 1993, the author of more than 180 scientific works.

In 2002 he defended his Candidate's thesis on "Complex measures in the treatment and prevention of traumatic osteomyelitis of the lower jaw".

In 2010, he defended his doctoral dissertation on "New aspects of pathogenetic therapy of inflammatory diseases of the maxillofacial region in children".

5 doctoral students are working under his supervision. Within 10 years, 15 master's theses have been defended under his supervision.

The main attention in scientific research and clinical work of Professor Adkham Khasanov is paid to orthognathic surgery, reconstructive and restorative surgeries of soft and hard tissues in patients after oncopathologies, congenital pathologies and those suffering from osteonecrosis of various etiopathogenesis. This year he participated with his report at the congress "Prevention of Oral Diseases" in Amsterdam under the auspices of the World Health Organization and "Head and Neck Diseases" in St. Petersburg. With his active participation since 2010, he has been successfully working on an international grant between the Tashkent State Dental Institute and the Smile Train Charitable Foundation.

Since 2015 he has been doing public work as the President of the Association of Dentists of Uzbekistan. Since 2019, he is the official representative of Uzbekistan in the World Dental Federation (FDI). He is an honored dentist of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan, as well as a member of the Scientific Society of Plastic Surgeons of Uzbekistan.

Jean-Paul Meningaud is Professor and Head of the Department of Plastic and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Henri Mondor University Hospital, Paris. Having gained his MD at the University Denis Diderot, Paris in 1997, he was awarded Ph.D. in 2002 by the University René Descartes, Paris. A Fellow of the European Board of Oro-Maxillofacial Surgery, he has graduated in microsurgery and holds the HDR (postdoctoral degree authorizing the holder to direct the research of others).

In Paris in 2007, Professor Meningaud was part of the team that undertook a complex composite tissue allotransplantation of the face in a patient undergoing resection of a massive plexiform neurofibroma He received the James Barret Brown award in 2011. In 2014, He has been elected to be President of the EACMFS in 2018-2020. He is in charge of three diplomas in cosmetic medicine. He runs researches in regenerative medicine and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Jabbar Hasanov PhD, DDS

He was graduated from Azerbaijan State Medical Institute named after Narimanov in 1986, and has been focused in dental implantation since 1998.

In 2000, he has created a private Implant-Dent clinic and is currently leading it.

In 2005, he founded the Azerbaijan Society of Oral Implantologists and has been its chairman. In the same period, he defended his candidate's thesis in St. Petersburg. He made presentations in many international conferences.

In 2007, he translated the book "Dental Implantation" published by Lithuanian Prof. O.N.Surov to Azerbaijani language.

In 2006, he worked as a diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and between 2008 to 2011 he was the vice president of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI USA).

Since 2005 he has been the chairman of the organization committee of the International Caspian Conference, held every two years in Baku under organization Azerbaijan Society of Oral Implantologists(AzSOI)

Between 2009 to 2015 he was the organizer and head of the ITI-Baku study club.

He is the author of the book “Implantological Terminology” in Azerbaijani language.

After graduating from the medical faculty of the Tomsk Medical Institute, clinical residency at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, E.L. Choinzonov was invited to the position of junior researcher at the Department of Head and Neck Tumors in the Siberian Branch of the All-Union Cancer Research Center of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. In 1984, having successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic: "Treatment of patients with oral cancer and its impact on the parameters of the immune system", he was transferred to the position of senior researcher.

After defending his doctoral thesis in 1995 on the topic: "Cancer of the upper respiratory and digestive tract (epidemiological and immunovirological aspects, evaluation of the effectiveness of treatment)" he became a leading researcher in the same department of the Research Institute of Oncology. In 2002, he was awarded the title of professor in the specialty "oncology". In 2005, he was elected a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences with a degree in Oncology, and in 2011 - an academician of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences. From 2002 to June 30, 2016 - Director of the Tomsk Research Institute of Oncology, from July 1, 2016 - December 14, 2018 - Director of the Tomsk Research Medical Center, from December 19, 2018 - Director of the Research Institute of Oncology of the Tomsk Research Medical Center.

Area of scientific interests

E.L. Choinzonov is the author of more than 1000 published works, including 30 monographs, 1 manual for doctors, 1 methodological manual, 13 clinical recommendations, 337 Russian and foreign articles. He has 53 patents for inventions and 21 certificates of state registration of software products, 5 license agreements. Under his leadership, 16 doctoral and 21 master's theses were completed and defended.

The main areas of scientific activity of Choinzonov E.L. are connected with the development of methods for early diagnosis, organ-preserving and reconstructive-plastic surgical treatment, combination therapy, rehabilitation of patients with malignant neoplasms of the head and neck region, the study of the mechanisms of carcinogenesis and tumor progression.

In order to increase the effectiveness of treatment and functional results in patients with malignant neoplasms of the maxillofacial region and larynx, he developed and introduced into clinical practice original surgical operations using simultaneous replacement of postoperative defects with endoprostheses made of porous titanium nickelide and microsurgical tissue autotransplantation. New approaches to the treatment of cancer of the thyroid, parotid glands, nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses based on organ-preserving operations in combination with intraoperative electron and remote neutron therapy are proposed.

Modern methodological approaches have been developed to restore the voice-forming function in patients after combined therapy for cancer of the larynx, oral cavity and oropharynx, with paresis and paralysis of the larynx using biofeedback based on mathematical modeling. Fundamental problems developed under the guidance of Choinzonov E.L. relate to the study of the role of the immune system and oncogenic viruses in the genesis of tumor growth. New information about the mechanisms of formation of resistance of tumor cells to free radical damage has been obtained, clinical and epidemiological features of primary multiple tumors of the head and neck have been revealed.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor Yunis Amiraslan Yusubov was born in 1942. He graduated from the Azerbaijan Medical Institute in 1964. In 1972, he entered the Postgraduate School at the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the Kiev Institute of Advanced Training of Physicians. In 1975, he successfully defended his PhD thesis in Medical Sciences and worked as an assistant at the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the Kiev Medical Institute.

After completing his doctoral thesis in 1988 in Kiev, he was appointed as a professor at the Department of Surgical Dentistry at the Azerbaijan Medical Institute in 1989. Professor Y.A. Yusubov is the author of more than 250 research papers, including 2 textbooks, 3 books, 20 inventions, and 17 methodological guidelines. In 2005, he published the first textbook on maxillofacial surgery in Azerbaijani.

Professor Y.A. Yusubov delivered lectures at various international conferences. Since 1998, he has been a member of the International Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons of Azerbaijan, and the European Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. He is also a member of the Council of the Dental Association of Azerbaijan and serves as the head of the Department of Surgical Dentistry. Many of the original surgical methods developed by Professor Yusubov in maxillofacial surgery are widely used in everyday practice.

Dr. Ahmet E. Demirbaş is associate professor and head in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Erciyes, Kayseri, Turkey. Dr. Demirbaş’s clinical practice focused on skeletal correction of dentofacial deformities and cleft lip and palate repair. Dr. Demirbaş earned his DDS degree from the University of Marmara, Faculty of Dentistry, İstanbul, Turkey. He completed his specialty and obtained PhD degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Erciyes University. He served at Craniofacial Surgery and Research Centre of SDM College of Dental Science in India as a clinical visitor in 2012. He also completed research fellowship in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of Bologna University, Italy in 2019-2020. Dr. Demirbaş is a member of national and international associations of maxillofacial surgery and has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles.

Prof. Dr. Alper Alkan, who completed his undergraduate and specialty education at Ankara University Faculty of Dentistry, worked as a faculty member at Ondokuz Mayıs University, Erciyes University and Bezmialem Foundation University respectively, and served as Dean at two different Universities between 2009-2020.

Erciyes University Senate unanimously decided to name the general operating room unit within the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Hospital as "Prof. Dr. Alper Alkan Operating Room" for his outstanding services and his contributions to the planning, construction and operation of the only branch hospital in the field of dentistry in our country and honored Dr. Alkan while he was alive.

Dr. Alper Alkan, who has more than 300 national and international publications and papers, awards and conferences, is professionally interested in dentofacial deformities, cleft lip and palate, temporomandibular joint surgery, and implantology. Dr. Alkan is married and has twin children.
